A local Syracuse businesswoman approached students to create public seating that would be placed outside her female-focused coworking office.

The ribbon bench was designed with both leisure and work in mind, featuring places to sit and stand. With two mirrored components, the bench was designed to accommodate people who wanted to work outside, relax, or do a bit of both.

The bench was installed on-site, only to be torn down by city officials a few months later. Luckily, one half was able to be salvaged and is now being used by students in the school of design.
